Many people won’t have the opportunity to be educated to have the right job or the second kind people may have the needed qualifications but won’t get the opportunity. Unemployment is becoming serious problem day after day although everything is improving but the number of people isn’t able to get job is increasing. Many reasons can stand behind this issue that will be discussed in the coming parts. In 2007 number of unemployed people were 178 million and it increased to 212 million in 2009 according to studies done by the international labor organization (ILO) and on the other side it increased from around 187 to 220 million from 2019 to 2021.

       Unemployment can be defined when people try to find job that they get salaries from in order to live. To start with these reasons that lead to unemployment. First of all, increase of population is one of the causes where there are many people will be looking for job as the available vacancies is not enough. Like in India or China or even Egypt or any country that has an increase in population, people who want jobs are much more than the opportunities available. Continuing with the second reason which is the rapid improvement of technology. Many people are being replaced by machines or robots. The change in technology have invented machines that made life easier but on the other hand let employees to be out of their work. In simple words and unfortunately machines are substituting people since managers think that machines can save money and time as to make work done more efficiently and effectively, they think that by machines mistakes won’t be done but for sure they are wrong. Also, the third reason is the lack of education where many people aren’t educated as required and don’t have enough skills and abilities to take a part of the job. And here the blame isn’t always on people that didn’t continue their education but the reason may be financially or any other situation out of hands. But even that people always search for work that can have salaries from to live. Furthermore, the increase in costs and the financial crisis play a major role in the increase of unemployment. Companies aren’t able to pay the right amount of money to their employees or to give them their full rights and by this employees won’t work when their rights isn’t given or when they are given a low salary they won’t be encouraged to work as needed. Like now in Lebanon that is passing through economic crisis, unemployment in this country is increasing rapidly where companies aren’t able to pay the needed salaries so people aren’t working and many are being fired from work since the company can’t handle anymore as many closed their doors and employees stayed without work. People expenses are exceeding the limits and need jobs necessary and no other choice for that. 

    Although money isn’t the most important thing in life and it can’t buy happiness but it is required to have at least the basic needs. Without job and money, you can’t have a house to stay in or clothes to wear or even food to eat. Without money you can’t teach your kids and put them in school. Lack of jobs vacancies lead to increase in poverty and having homeless people. However, if people will be stressed a lot and can’t find job, they will be going to bad habits to relax as unemployment leads to many suicides, divorces and even crimes where people may steal to get what they want. 

    In conclusion, unemployment is a serious problem that should be solved and have more attention. Without work you can’t continue since basic needs aren’t afforded as the reasons behind that problem differs from one country to another.
