*▪️The media office at Dar Al Fatwa announced in a statement, “The visit of the United States Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, has been postponed based on a request from Ambassador Shea’s office.”* Mufti Derian stressed in a statement “the necessity of stopping American support for the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and the request From the American administration to put pressure on the Zionist entity to stop its aggression against Gaza and the Palestinian people, impose a ceasefire, establish a humanitarian truce, pass relief aid to the afflicted people of Gaza, and work to establish the Palestinian state with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif, after putting a final end to the Zionist occupation.” He stressed that “Lebanon and its people are in solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been suffering under the Zionist occupation since 1948 and are still trying to displace them, displace them from their land, kill their children, women, and elderly, destroy their homes, and exterminate their people without any international, humanitarian, or moral deterrent, and the threat and intimidation of dropping seismic bombs or a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip.” It will not frighten the Arab and Islamic nation, but rather increase its belief in its rights and determination to reject the occupation of its Arab lands.” He added that "there is no solution to the problems of the region except through justice for the oppressed Palestinian people, and justice cannot be achieved except by establishing a free and independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, with its mosques and churches, so that Palestine remains a land of peace and one coexistence in the region."

He called for "intensifying diplomatic efforts to stop the massacres against the heroic, steadfast and patient people of Gaza after their extermination by a brutal Zionist enemy, hoping that the Arab and Islamic summit that will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will produce positive results in unifying the position and taking international measures through the Security Council against this aggression and the necessity of Preserving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people on their land.” He warned of “the continuation of the Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon and the breach and violation of its sovereignty,” expressing his fear of “the expansion of Zionist crime and terrorism against Lebanon and its people, who stand united against what is happening in their land of brutal and barbaric crime and the killing of safe children and women,” and warned of “the danger of the region’s slide.” “Towards regional wars that threaten everyone’s interests regionally and internationally.”
