As days are passing life is becoming more difficult to a point that it increases the level of stress which will affect you and ones surrounding you in a very negative way. Stress can be defined as a response from you when you feel threatened or upset which something normal. But the thing that is not normal is to stay 24/7 stressed.
Each one of us can pass through what is called stress since it exists in each situation. Stress can be the one coming from happy situations like getting married, having new opportunities in your life like a good position at work, or meeting someone. As it can be coming from negative situations like divorce, loosing someone or something precious to you, financial crisis or even being in danger. Taking the last situation as an example which is being in danger, you will be surely in stress and afraid but there will be two different responses. The first where you will not be able to do anything or to think how to quit the danger, however, the second response due to the high level of stress you will be positive and act in the appropriate way. And the same if you are having an exam, presentation, interview, or any task to be completed if you are too much stressed, you’ll not be able to solve or to talk. As William James once said that the greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.
You may think that when you are stressed you are the only one that will be affected but the opposite is correct; you will be affecting the ones around you beside affecting yourself. Stress can be measured physically, emotionally, or even behaviorally. Starting with the physical symptoms of stress on your body, it includes having rapid heartbeats, chest pain, headaches, low energy where you no more can handle anything, aches, pain in different parts of your body, nausea, as stomach pain too. It may include many other symptoms as it varies from one individual to another. Moreover, emotionally you will be affected since you will be depressed thus will avoid others and become lonely, you’ll feel down unmotivated and nervous all the time not able to quite your mind. As you start blaming yourself and look at yourself in a bad way. However, stating the behavior symptoms, it includes changing in appetite which means you will either eat more or less than normal even you will sleep more or less than normal. When you are stressed, you escape by doing things not used to do or not from your habit. You will be isolated and try to drink alcohol and drugs or even smoke cigarettes and this is a very bad habit since by time you will be addicted and when you are stressed you can’t control things you are doing. According to the American Institute of stress statistics it shows that around 33 percent of people are always extremely stressed, 77 percent of people experience physical symptoms of stress, as 73 percent of people have stress that impacts their mental health and 48 percent had trouble in sleeping due to stress. As other statistics show that 29 percent start drinking alcohol and increased how much they drink. To add, you will not focus, you will start to shout at the simple word nothing will move as you feel the world is a dark place to stay in. And the sadness part the stress may lead to heat attacks.
People has to control how much they stress and don’t let stress to control their life. It’s not easy to remove or control stress this may take time but with a little practice thing can happen and nothing is impossible. Some can’t keep inside them why they are stressed or in other words can’t hide their feelings but it’s important to know how to express out feelings. You have to find someone you trust and love to share what makes you upset and what leads to this extreme stress. It helpful to. Hang out from time to time and do things you love; you have to always search for what makes you happy and do it whether it’s simple or not. In addition to sports, it is a major thing to do. It’s known that sports help the body in many different ways where you free your mind and become more comfortable. When you are stressed, you can practice your favorite sport and all negative energy and thoughts will get out. Not to forget that stress make situations more complex which means things that may take few times to be solved it will take a long period and this increase the stress more. Furthermore, you have to stay calm to not destroy the relationship between you and your family and ones surrounding you.
In conclusion, no matter how world is improving but days are becoming more complex and stress increases. It’s important to look and think positively in order to stay calm and be able to mover over any situation. When you are stressed you are the main one who is loosing the most. Always look at what you have accomplished and what you have reached and put plans to reach more and if you couldn’t it is normal at the end no one can have whatever he wants as sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Think positively and throw away the stress.
